These terms apply to this website and to anything you buy from us. By using the site or placing an order you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

A Better You Everyday Publications, a trademark of 9354-4914 Québec inc., of Suite 1001, 1162 Rue Desserte Ouest, Unit B, Laval, QC H7X 4C9, Canada. Contact: info@abetteryoueveryday.com. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean A Better You Everyday Publications, and "you" means you, the customer.
How to use our publications
We publish books, journals, guides and other written works across a range of everyday subjects. Everything we publish is general information for education and personal interest. It is not professional advice — medical, legal, financial or otherwise — and it is not a substitute for consulting a qualified professional about your own situation.
You are responsible for how you use what you read. We cannot know your circumstances, and we do not accept liability for how the information is applied.
Titles about herbal, natural or home remedies. Where a title of ours deals with herbal preparations or home remedies, the following also applies. Nothing in it is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Speak with a qualified healthcare professional before using any herbal preparation, and especially if you are pregnant or nursing, giving something to a child, taking prescription medication, or living with a medical condition. Never stop or change prescribed medication because of something you read in one of our books. In an emergency, contact your local emergency service.
Orders
Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we confirm your order by email. We may decline or cancel an order, and refund you in full, if the item is unavailable, if the price or description was clearly wrong, or if we suspect fraud.
Prices are in US dollars and shown before you pay. Sales tax, where it applies, is calculated at checkout once your address is entered. Shipping is shown before payment and is never added afterwards.
Guarantee, refunds and cancellations
Printed titles carry a 30-day money-back guarantee. How it works, and how we handle damaged or missing parcels, is set out on our shipping and returns page, which forms part of these terms.
Digital items, including digital editions, digital gifts and ebooks, are delivered instantly and are not refundable once the access email has been sent. App memberships are a digital service and are not refundable; you may cancel at any time to stop the membership renewing, and you keep access for the period already paid for. Individual titles purchased outright inside the apps remain yours.
Digital products and app access
Digital gifts, digital editions and app memberships are licensed to you for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, resell, share publicly, upload or redistribute them. Access is delivered to the email address on your order, so please give us one you can reach.
Our content
The text, images, covers, video and design on this site and in our publications are owned by us or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce or republish them without our written permission. You are of course free to use what you buy for your own personal, non-commercial use — writing in a journal, cooking a recipe, trying a remedy at home — which is the whole point of it.
Reviews on this site
Reviews shown on our pages are real reviews written by verified purchasers, quoted accurately, sometimes shortened for length without changing their meaning. They describe those readers' own experiences and are not a promise of any particular result for you.
Acceptable use
Please do not attempt to break, overload, scrape or gain unauthorised access to the site, place fraudulent orders, or use the site for anything unlawful.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim connected with an order is limited to the amount you paid us for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
The site is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or error free.
Third-party sites
Our pages sometimes link to other websites, including our own applications. We are not responsible for the content or policies of sites we do not operate. Where a link leads to another company's storefront, its own terms apply to your purchase there.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the applicable laws of Canada, and the courts of Quebec have jurisdiction, without affecting any consumer protection rights you have where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here on the day you order, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
